Well May is proving eventful. My husband has been in the hospital twice this month. But God is good and he's doing well now. I was shopping recently and had an "aha" moment I'll share with you. I could use a inexpensive florwer lei for flowers for cards. I went to a Dollar Tree and bought a lei to take apart. Lots of petals and only $1.09.

Stair Steps for Mother's Day

My husband got a chance to go visit his mother last weekend. This is the card I made for her. I know it was early for Mother's Day but I wanted him to be able to hand it to her rather that sending it in the mail. I used Stampin Up's Petal Pizzazz stamp set and stamped quite a few flowers and some leaves. The verse is an old stamp from Sarasota Stamps. I wasn't sure how many flowers I would use until I started putting everything in place. When you add design elements to your stair steps be sure it will still fit in the envelope. There is a rhinestone brad (SU) and 3 Dew Drops

Spring Break

We have had an interesting Spring Break. Our granddaughter spent the week with us. My husband had a bad reaction to some medication and spend 2 days in the hospital. Lots of rain at the end of the week. It wasn't exactly the vacation she was looking for but we enjoyed each other's company and did work in a little fun.

I worked on some card samples for an upcoming class and went to my scrapbooking group.

Our tech class next month will be for Cracked Glass. It's a fun technique and I've included the sample I made.

Well I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while (I never kept a diary, when I tried Daddy read it) so here it is. This is a way for old friends and new friends to visit my stamping room. So, come on in a see what I'm doing.
